The site highlights how Lombardo has funneled over $240 million of Nevadans’ tax dollars to big data center companies and said he’s “wholeheartedly in support of data centers” as his campaign is bankrolled by more than $2 million in data center-linked donations.
After releasing his data center accountability agenda, Attorney General Aaron Ford launched TV ads highlighting his plan to halt tax breaks for data centers, block them from raising Nevadans’ costs, make them pay for their own energy and bring their own water, and back up communities’ decisions on whether or not they want data centers. Since Ford launched his plan, he has released a video highlighting it, held a press conference slamming Lombardo’s data center ties, and held a town hall where he spoke directly with Nevadans suffering under Lombardo’s tax-payer funded data center “gold rush” and how he’ll protect their water and block their utility costs from going up.
“Lombardo’s data center gravy train is further proof of him being a doormat for Donald Trump at every opportunity — both share the same data-center-invested billionaire donors, and both have been data centers’ biggest cheerleaders in Nevada,” said Nevada State Democratic Party spokesperson Kate Sosland.
